Release Agreement and Liability Waiver

RELEASE AGREEMENT and LIABILITY WAIVER

Whereas, Dartmouth Television (or "DTV") is a student organization operating under the authority of Dartmouth College, and Media Productions Group is an independent contractor.

Whereas, Dartmouth Television produces shows to be broadcast on Dartmouth’s DAR TV and DartmouthTV.org, an open circuit website and Media Productions Group is an independent contractor of Dartmouth college.
Whereas I, the undersigned, have agreed to give Dartmouth Television permission to film, appear in a Dartmouth Television production and/or acquire content under my corresponding jurisdiction, and any and all open or closed circuit media decided upon by Media Productions Group.

Whereas, I understand that Dartmouth Television and Media Productions Group may record and/or acquire any of my voices and, name, and images under my jurisdiction will be recorded by various mechanical and electrical means of all descriptions (any submitted digital recordings, and any piece thereof, the contents therein and all reproductions thereof, along with the utilization of my name and those under my jurisdiction and any items written under “Contents,” shall be collectively referred to herein as the "Released Subject Matter").

I affirm, I hereby freely and without restrained consent give unto Dartmouth Television and Media Productions Group and its agents or assigns or anyone authorized by Dartmouth Television or Media Productions Group, (collectively referred to herein as the "Releasees") the unrestrained right in perpetuity to own, utilize, or alter the Released Subject Matter, in any manner the Releasees may see fit and for any purpose whatsoever, all of the foregoing to be without limitation of any kind. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, I hereby authorize the Releasees and grant unto them the unrestrained rights to utilize the Released Subject Matter in connection with Dartmouth Television and Media Productions Group advertising, publicity, public displays, and exhibitions. I hereby stipulate that the Released Subject Matter is the property of the Producer, Dartmouth Television to do with as it will.

I hereby waive to the fullest extent that I may lawfully do so, any causes of action in law or equity I, or those under my jurisdiction, may have or may hereafter acquire against the Releasees or any of them for libel, slander, invasion of privacy, copyright or trademark violation, right of publicity, or false light arising out of or in connection with the utilization by the Releasees or another of the Released Subject Matter committed.
It is my intention that I shall not be compensated in connection with any and all usages of the Released Subject Matter. I expressly stipulate that the Releasees may utilize the Released Subject Matter or not as they choose in their sole discretion without affecting the validity of this Release. This Release shall be governed by New Hampshire law.

I certify that all content contained in the Released Subject Matter contains no nudity, obscenities, illegal drugs, or anything else that would go against the Dartmouth Principles of Community. I certify that all content is acceptable for viewing by all reasonable age groups. I certify that the Released Subject Matter does not infringe upon any copyright trademarks.
